Board Information

Claire joined the Board in 2024 and her aim is to make sure residents are front and centre of decision making at every possible opportunity.  She has worked in housing for over 30 years with her latest role being Executive Director of Customer Experience at Accent where she headed up customer services, property services, asset management, customer & building safety and customer engagement. She has also delivered health / housing projects, rural regeneration and employment & training services.

She is a member of the board of the Blackpool Housing Company, chairs their subsidiary Lumen Housing Association and is on the board of ForHousing.  She has also recently stepped down from the board of Leeds Federated HA.

Director of Assets and Growth at 54North Homes with significant experience of housing development from a broad range of housing associations.  Experience and knowledge of asset management strategies and retrofit for housing portfolios.

A professional with a BSc in Sustainable Land and Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).  Strong customer centric values gained through employed, consultancy and non-executive director appointments.  A strong interest in making sure her local community thrives and prospers. Has been a parish councillor and worked with the CCG on strategic planning.

Currently Head of Corporate Services and Company Secretary at Leeds Federated Housing Association but has had frontline customer service experience as well as roles in corporate governance.  Has mentored with HDN since 2010, chaired the NHF HR group for the Yorkshire and Humber 2011 – 2019 and was a Board member for the WISH Yorkshire and Humber region 2016 – 2020.

A former local authority Deputy Chief Executive and Strategic Director of Resources where she was successful in driving and delivering transformational projects, improved outcomes and innovation in major service areas.  Trustee and Chair of Carers Resource, former Chair of Harrogate Neighbours Housing Association, foodbank and meals on wheels volunteer.

Experienced housing professional with over 20 years of Senior Management experience in social housing.  Specialist areas income collection, rent and service charge setting and regulatory compliance. NED experience.

Carmen is a longstanding customer of the Association and Chair of the Customer Liaison Committee.

ACCA, ICAEW and CIPFA Qualified accountant and currently Executive Director of Resources at Broadacres Housing Association. Prior to joining Broadacres David spent 17 years in practice advising a variety of local government, housing and central government clients on technical accounting, implementing new financial management policies and regimes, training agendas, modernisation and performance improvement.

CIPFA qualified accountant and former Chief Finance Officer for Teesdale District Council.  Currently Chief Financial Officer at Railway Housing Association in Darlington.

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing with many years of sector experience. Knowledge and experience of housing management, development, regeneration and asset management. Chaired a number of sector based organisations.
